Yeah, Stan. The church I went to in the late 70's had several cars broken into during the service. Had to have some of our members patrol the parking lot after that. Don't have to worry about that now, the site the church sat on is under the new runway of the Atlanta airport. Even the small town church near me now has had break ins in peoples cars.
BTW, I would hate to think of what this country would be like without my fellow church goers. Not saying anything negative if you don't go to church, but a lot of good comes out of a lot of churches. I'm involved with a ministry in our church denomination that has the largest number of volunteer disaster response workers of any organization in the world. 80,000 + and growing. Those of you that have had floods or tornadoes have probably seen the yellow t-shirts and yellow ball caps or maybe have gotten one of our hot meals. We were at the WTC hours after the disaster. We've going to New Orleans since it hit, we sent a kitchen and team to Iran just after the earthquake, teams came to our area the next day after flooding in April, etc. etc. Our state association has a tractor trailer set up as a kitchen with all the latest equipment that can feed 25,000 + free meals a day. So, even though there are wolves in sheep's clothing, I would say they are a small minority. JMHO.
Have to pay a security guard to keep an eye on their cars out on the streets here in Athens because some nitwits broke into some cars one Sunday....it's a crying shame.....
I know that we have a lot of good church going folks all across America....doing a lot of good for a lot of ppl....I was speaking towards the few bad apples who seem to be in it only for the $$ and material goods..
