I've vacummed the house, got the bread maker going, lubed the chain on the KLR, polished the KLR and ST, chased the dog who slid outside when I wasn't watching, taken cold medicine - one of the joys of driving a school bus, got some loud music playing - no immediate neighbours. I'm the only house of the right of my street , toying with the idea of going out for lunch, load of whites washing and pre packing for the FCR AND WHAT I REALLY WANT TO DO IS RIDE ONE OF MY BIKES. Yeah I know some of you will ride in the rain for fun. I've done too many 10's of thousands of miles for it to be fun anymore.

I have a bunch of maintenance to do to the Valkyrie, and all the parts are here... but I didn't feel like hanging out in the pole barn in the rain all weekend... so I stayed inside and colored... Good luck to all the CBR people who have to ride in the rain... -Mike

I put in about 200 miles in last Monday and I never got rained on once. Went to Steamer's favorite place in Tiger Ga and sent him a picture of a chilli burger like he usually gets just to rub it in. I rode to Highlands on 64 stopped at Dry Falls on the way. Took 28 to Warwoman road then back to 441 and headed home. I'm hoping for a repeat in the morning

I agree it is getting old, but... after the drought, I am not yet ready to complain. Mike Marshall - a man with many talents. Did you see his cartoon? Cool. The North Georgia Motorcycle Club ride was rained out on Sunday. I did enjoy rolling over and going back to sleep briefly. Then the wife said we had to get up and watch the president on all the morning shows.... Here is the NGAMC before on ride 9.5.09

after the drought, I am not yet ready to complain. I think the time for being philosophical about the rain is over. Today all the fire ants in South Carolina decided that inside my mailbox was the only dry place left. I pulled up to the box, yanked out a folded manila envelope, and so many fire ants dumped out on my shirt it looked like a disturbed mound... -Mike

Looks like ya'll are getting some of what we had back in the spring; 18-24" in 36 hours. Flooding like we'd never had before.

Today Saturday Sept 26th it rained. Rain, rain, rain. The town of Austell, GA has lost about 50% of its homes to the recent flooding. We have had a 1 in 100 year flooding in the northern half of GA. The Yellow River near Covington GA normally runs at 5 feet deep. IT WAS 16 FEET OVER THAT last week. Some photos here http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/09/flooding_in_the_southeast.html

May just see ya up that way. I am a volunteer disaster relief coordinator from our area of south Alabama. We have been requested to come up that way to help with the clean-up. Don't know when or where yet.
