Does anyone have information on the Interstate fairings. The type 2 is the most expensive one and is obsolete. What is type2, material designation, maybe? The other is type4, black, nh1 color code, little over $550+, what is type4?

I don't know the difference, I tried to research early this morning but found no answer. Might be what is included when ordered, you might call parts supplier and see if they could tell you. Hopefully somebody else might know, didn't want you to think you were being ignored.

I have never heard of different fairing part numbers from '99-'01. They are all ABS.
I'm betting they are all the same exact shape and mount, maybe only some internal wiring differences/improvements?

I think it is just color. I've had many of these fairings apart and have never noticed any structural or other differences.

from what i could find out from hondaline part number ID. is the last 2 didgets in the part # is the paint color code for that part. the base # for all the fairings is 64214-mby with the last being either 000ze, 000zd or A00za. the last 5 numbers give the production date and then the color of the part. but as far as part they are all the same except for there color.

The first five digit number you mentioned "000AE" is the one that is obsolete. Given that the other is listed, I'll assume it is available.

yes the part ending in 000ae is no longer listed by price meaning no longer avalible. the ones ending in 000ze 000zd and A00za are still listed by price, now that being said it will depended on the supplier if they can get it. if you are looking for a fairing, you might try pinwallcycle on the internet. he has a lot of parts for the valkyrie, i have purchased from him before.

Had a few bad spots since I've owned it, 10 years now. I've always wanted to have it repaired (wasn't cost effective), picked up the new one accidentally.
