Mary and I had a great ride today right up until my Valk broke down heading home after lunch.  The guru's I spoke to seem to think it is the pinion cup and luckily I still have three months left on the warranty I bought from Honda.

Does anyone around here have a trailer I can borrow to haul the bike down to Maxim?

Chuck, I have a MC attachment for the wreckers, we can move it this week.

Thanks Chris.

I'd also like to thank Dave and Billy for coming to check on us and taking Mary back to the restaurant to get her out of the sun.

Thanks everyone that stayed at the restaurant keeping Mary company while waiting for me.

I'd like to thank the three European riders that stopped to see if they could help and stayed until the wrecker left.  It's good to know that there are still people like that around.

Thank you Terry from RideSafe for hauling us home; he's a good guy if anyone needs a tow - 817-319-2222.  He also does free towing for inebriated riders.

Thanks Wanderer for stopping by and helping diagnose the problem; hopefully it is covered by warranty and I am riding soon.

Last but not least, thank you Kanye for not interrupting me.    Cheesy

Chuck I'm there any time you need it, I just hope the valk is under warranty and you get rolling soon. Billy

Not a pretty sight, but a no fault, out of the blue break down when it is found to be the pinion cup. ~Jeff

Chuck,

I'm not sure if this is still going on or if it was a temporary promotion but earlier this year Maxim was advertising free pick up and delivery within (I believe) a 15 mile radius.

DFG

BTW, the nice folks on VTX1800s who stopped had been on the Maxim ride and asked it we were going to the Ride for Kids on 4 October.  Great job Sidecar, Wanderer, and Maxim.

Chuck

If you're still in need, my roll back truck I use for UNITS can also haul cars, motorcycles, etc.  as long as it's not for hire.  I've had my I/S on it before.  Just let me know.

Thanks for the trailer offers.  My bike should be on its way to Maxim right about now thanks to Jeff and Stan.

Thanks Jeff and Stan.

Hopefully they will get her diagnosed right away. So far everyone agrees on the pinion cup/drive shaft thang from the sound effects. That sure was good of Stan to come into town to help out. Doesn't even own a Valk any longer and has yet to meet Chuck. What a guy! ~Jeff
