Hello guys, when my bike is cold. It starts just fine. As usual, cranks on neutral or in gear with clutch pulled in.

When it's hot on city driving it will not crank in gear with the clutch pulled in (nor out) and will only crank in neutral BUT with the clutch in...

Any idea??? Once it cools down it works as supposed.

It is never supposed to start in gear with the clutch out.  And, you don't want it to.

An odd problem.  I note where you are which might add to the difficulty.  If it was me, and looking at the wiring diagram, I'd see if I could borrow an ECM and swap it out and see if the problem goes away. Any friends with Valkyries where you are?

I can't think of a single problem that could cause exactly these symptoms other than ECM failure. (Generally the simplest explanation is the best - Ockham's razor. Most issues can be attributed to one failure - rare to have unrelated multiple failures simultaneously.  And you didn't say there was a lessor problem prior to the total problem now.) But you might want to put a meter on the clutch switch contacts and the neutral sw contacts anyway just to verify they are working as required. The neutral sw is the only one positioned where it could be affected by engine heat. If the ECM is failing, I suppose it could be affected by some heat though it's pretty removed from the engine under the left cover. You have a wiring diagram, right?

There is a Diode Assembly in the fuse panel under the right side cover. This could have something to do with the problem. It would be easy to swap out to see if it fixes it.
Click on the link below to see the schematic. It is in the middle on the left side.

Very strange, heat related, it seems.

I would just start with the simple one, the clutch lever/switch. Insure that the lever pivot bushing isn't worn, and that the lever is making contact on the switch.

When quit, you should hear the micro switch clicking on/off as the lever makes contact/release.

Like said, if in gear (and side stand up), you should ONLY be able to start with the clutch in engaging the switch.

Clutcj swirch is good and so the lever bushing, in fact the engine won't start in neutral if I don't pull the clutch when engine is hot.

Does the neutral indicator light go "on" all the time? Even when it won't start and it is in neutral. It is beginning to sound like it is your neutral switch that is malfunctioning.

look and see if that main fuse is solid, had one that cracked and after riding for a while it would separate.
