I had EVERY intention of coming Saturday.  I got up early... ate breakfast.  Had a sitter... and just had a nagging voice telling me not to head west to the group meet-up at Bridgeton.  I just couldn't shake it.

I have learned to listen to that inner voice over the years... and I survived Saturday, so I am going to put this one down as another successful intervention.

You can believe that or not... but I believe it.

Again... sorry I missed you all.

I really do still ride my Valk.  I swear!!!

I always listen to the voice!  Sometimes I go out and get on the bike and just get back off, just dosen't feel right. Keep listening,

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

We missed ya, but ya gotta believe in the voices...  It's taken me my whole life to understand the 'feeling', but when it happens, I take it seriously.

What made me look at my rear tire while gassing up in Crawfordsville Saturday morning?  A 'feeling'...  Had I not, I'd probably be stranded, or worse, somewhere between IN and WI...

That inter voice always knows best. Just about 3 weeks ago I wanted to go out for a ride while the wife was at work I call it the brown country loop. I got on the bike started out the driveway and turned around it just didn’t fell right.  Later that day I found out that a guy got killed on a bike at Martinsville at 37 and 250 and that time would have put me right there and this is not the first time that I have started out and turned around and came back home. And two weeks before that same thing started to leave on the bike sat at the driveway and the road and just sat there and then put the bike back in the garage later that day I was cleaning up the bike and found a screw in the back tire.  The inter voice is always right if you listen.
You did the right thing

I used to ignore the voice a lot, and I am lucky to be alive.  Mostly not MC related... but a couple of MC crash ups too.

I alter my route a lot when the intuition tells me to.  Stay off the freeway, or simply alter my course.  I rode Saturday, and it was fine... it just wouldn't let me come west to meet you guys.  Mrs. Jabba and I went to a movie then rode thru the country to Martinsville, across 252 to Morgantown, and back north to my house.  Had dinner at Louies... went home.

I sure did miss ya'll though.

I have been feeling a little old and run down lately, and ya'll always make me feel like the YOUNGIN' in the group.

Cheesy

I also found over the years that I listened to the "voice"  I know the feeling.

The voice told me to quit riding the Valk.  A number of times I sat on it after the sidecar was removed and it wasn't right any more.  The Valk is now sold.

I still have the 750 Nighthawk and I still listen to the voice. I have not been riding the 'Hawk much but when I do, it feels "right"

I suspect that eventually the Miata will take the place of two wheeling completely as the voice has been silent when I drive it.

It's wise to pay attention to "it just doesn't feel right".
