Folks, I mistakenly ordered a High Mileage version of my favorite oil...Instead of returning it, I want to ask if anyone has used High Mileage formula in their Valks and their experience with it. Mine has 71k miles on it, and it's 18 years old. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

As long as there are no friction modifiers in it it will be fine. Nothing in the bottom half of the circle

I would be surprised if a high mileage doesn't have friction modifiers in it. OK what's high mileage probably 8 to 12K for arguments sake.

Well the High Mileage formula is specifically for seal conditioning and addressing potential oil leaks. I haven't ever heard of these formulas associated with friction modifiers. I assume the friction modifiers would cause slippage with the clutch, etc. In any event, here is the summary from Pennzoil:
Pennzoil® High Mileage Vehicle® Pennzoil® High Mileage Vehicle® motor oil helps clean out the sludge lesser oils leave behind, while helping to reduce leaks and oil consumption in worn or higher mileage engines.1
Pennzoil® High Mileage Vehicle® motor oil is a Pennzoil conventional motor oil that has been enhanced with a unique combination of special conditioning agents and additives to help stop leaks from seals and reduce the oil consumption that is typical of older, worn engines. It’s a motor oil specifically designed for new or late model vehicles with over 75,000 miles, with the mission of keeping engines running clean and going strong.

Got it. Thanks for the feedback.
The High Mileage has nothing in the bottom of the circle. However, the conventional (Yellow Bottle) Pennzoil 10-40 I have been using for over 15 years has "Resource Conserving" in the bottom half of the circle...Not sure what that means as related to friction modifiers, but I've never had an issue with the ride while using the stuff.

Do not use "resource conserving" oil. This is another name for modifiers. If you've gotten away with it, you're lucky. Mobil1 high mileage does NOT have "energy conserving" in the lower half of the circle. That's my choice for several years.

I don't think 71,000 is high mileage.

I would agree agree but I think the bigger issue is that the bike is 18 years old and seals do deteriorate at some point. I wonder if anyone else has had any leaks other than the shift seal leaking?

I once put some "high mileage" oil in my ST1300 once it had travelled nearly 100,000 miles.
Engine did not like it all. Felt like it was going to seize a couple of times. Got really tight. After about 10 miles I was back home draining the oil out.
