I have a 98 valkyrie and decided to go ahead and replace the battery. Can someone tell me which battery would be the best for my bike. It has a 200cca yuasa ytx14-bs in it right now. I know they offer the ytx14hbs at 240cca. But i don't think you can get an acid battery anymore from yuasa. Can someone help me with this. ( thanks GUYS )

The battery in my 98 Tourer died at home the end of September last year. It was 6.5 years old no warning. I was glad it happened at home. Just 1 mile away is a Battery Wholesale so I went down to buy a battery what ever they had in stock. I figured if I was on a trip that is what I would do they carried the Deka brand. Total cost was $95 I gave it a complete charge before installing it in the bike. It survived the Michigan winter in my basement attached to a battery Minder. Sorry I don't have more time on the battery the first 1200 miles this spring have been trouble free

I replaced my battery with a Duracell Ultra (Duragm-14) sealed and maintenance free from Battery Plus. Has higher cranking amps than stock YUSA battery.

Yep! Have this on both my bikes. Cranks stronger and no need for trickle charger.

I just to buy a battery for the monster today. 3rd battery since '98. It just let out a pop and quit working. I just went to Tractor Supply and matched it up to what they had in stock, an AGM. Filled it, charged, installed it, hit the button and away it went with that oh so familiar roar.

I thought those AGM batteries were pre filled and sealed up. Also aren't they precharged ?

It came with 6 containers of correct amount of acid that were formed as one and you just filled the battery, then charged at 1 amp. I didn't think it was an AGM at first, but, since it said it was, I have to guess it is. Anyway, its in, it works, and, we'll see how long it lasts. The original lasted 11 years and the 2nd went what only 7 or 8.

Well, its a model 14-BS made by Exide. The battery, the box, and, the instructions all say it is AGM. All I care about is that it starts the engine when I want and how long it lasts. So, I don't really care whether it is AGM or not, but, I'm sticking with the assumption that it is.

didn't know that. (I thought it was : Oh ye of little faith) ? The "all" was deliberate; I don't want to leave anyone out. I just realized I added a "t" to the end of "ye" I didn't intend, however.
