Did a little pre trip for my brother who's coming up October to state line the 9th,10th,and 11th. First thing he said was not to far,(he rides a Harley) should I say more. Anyways I had fun pre tripping the ride for them since I have to work although I'm going to see if I can trade with someone. Left this morning at 6:30 got up towards Utah and it got a little winding. I hung in there and it let up. The hole in the mountain is a window in the tunnel I'll be going threw in just a minuet. I even ended up in AZ for short time.

Not long ago you thought you weren't going to be able to ride much anymore. I only did 200 miles yesterday.

Hey Hot Rod, on what roads did you travel? The pics looked great and since I'm in Phoenix I may want to scoot up and take a look. P.S. This is not Phoenix.

I15 to Saint George exit 16 to Zion, all the way threw Zion threw the tunnels then you hit 89. you can go north or south, whats your pleasure, north is better but not in the cards for this trip, had to go south and back down to Kanab then threw Fadoinia AZ then back west on I think 89 back to Saint George then 15 south to the barn.

Bro, the reason that I asked about the window was that when we went to Zion, you go in tunnel and there are the windows and you are watching the road but keep seeing SOMETHING out those window things (flashes of SOMETHING - out of your side view - just flashes) and KNOW there is something waiting for you when you exit and when you do, BOY HOWDY!!!!!!!!!
One of my most favorite days ever!!!!!
Zion is not talked about much but it is mystical and special!!!!!! That place is a MUST DO!

Toured Zion this past July with my familas the last day of our trip "Out West". Went through and saw the following, Vegas, Hoover Dam, Death Valley, Yosemite (2 days), Sequoia, Hollywood, Santa Monica peer, San Diego Zoo, Cornado Island, Callico (ghost Town), Mojave, Vegas, Grand Canyon (2 days) Bryce Canyon and Zion. Each park was breathtaking. Took almost 2K digital photos and 3K on the rental car. Exhausting but exciting trip. Hope to someday do it on two wheels. Loved the red asphalt in Zion.

I made the trip from Scottsdale to Park City, Utah and back earlier this year. Stay off the freeway as much as you can for a more interesting experience. If you get to Kanab Utah, you have to check out this place. http://www.parrylodge.com/In the 1940’s to 1960’s, Kanab and it’s surrounding areas were used for filming Western’s and many of the actors stayed at this motel. The motel itself was used in the filming of four movies. If you ask, they will give you directions to check out some of the existing movie set locations around the area. If you stay overnight, they show a movie that was filmed in the area in their barn every evening. The movie, popcorn and bottled water are free to guests. It’s a great place to stay if you're checking out Bryce Canyon or Zion National Park. It’s very bike friendly. The nights we stayed there were about ten bikes on the premises in addition to ours.
