In case you missed it, and are interested, here are some current pictures of the X-Wing.
The most recent mods are chrome wheels, shorter exhaust, black frame, and windshield.

Now that looks like what I would envision a new Valkyrie to look like with that 1800 engine.

Lookin' good!

Excellent conversion. I think you're on to something there.

What everyone above said +1!!  Great looking conversion.  How much weight did ya shave off?

Thanks for the great feedback.
To answer a couple of questions...
How much weight did I take off?  It weighs 770# with fuel.  The repair manual says the 01 Wing weighs 880#, the new wings are up over 900#.  There is a replacement exhaust available that does away with the catalytic converter.  They say that saves several lbs.  I'm hoping to make that my next big purchase.

How dificult was it?  I bought it wrecked, and the front fairing was smashed to pieces.  There were a lot of wires dangling that I had to either repair, connect to the VTX instrument panel, or remove.  But, I work with wires for a living, so that didn't bother me too bad.  The front fender was pretty easy.  The tank, I just cut the bottom out so it would fit over engine, and transfered the old fuel fill door to the new fake tank.  The rear fender, I had to cut the front half of it off and weld some new metal on to make it fit and bolt up.  I had to do a lot of fabricating on the side panels.  The seat, I tore the original seat down to the pan, cut the back of it off, and had it repadded and covered.  It took about a year to get it on the road, but I'm still not quite finished (maybe I never will be).

Build them and sell them?  I would love to, but I'm not ready to give up my day job yet, and building them in my "spare" time would take a while.  What do you think I could get for one?  Maybe I could build one per year.

Frankly, I'm stunned. Had Honda taken that route, I suspect the Valk would still be selling. Congratulations! You're a very talented fellow.

I saw it at the CBR and I couldn't believe how small it looked...well...at least compared to a Goldwing.

Looks great.  How well does the radiator work turned to the side?

Stock position for the Wing.  And it does a great job of blowing the hot air out past your legs in the summer.  I don't feel the engine heat unless there is a stong cross wind, blowing it back at me.

770  whew, mine weighs a bit more than 900lbs. That should add a little pep to the girl shedding all that weight.  Is throttle response better?

Really?  Turned so that it's edge into the wind?  Is there some sort of ducting I'm not aware of?  (Haven't looked at a Wing that hard.)

The air comes in toward the center (see the black screens in the picture), it exits toward the out side.  The fans are also mounted toward the inside of the radiator and blow outward when they come on.

I don't know, I've never ridden a stock wing!  Anybody with a wing want to swap rides (just temporary) so I can check it out?

Interesting.  Odd design, but I guess it works.  I always had assumed it was set up like the Valkyrie.
