I've been hunting the different part suppliers and looking at exploded diagrams of front fenders... no luck in finding the part number for this clip - I need both, one for each side. Mine are badly corroded on my new-to-me Valkyrie, 1998 Standard.

Anyone have any idea where I can get those clips?

Thanks!

In the Honda fiche, it is on the Front Brake Master cylinder page.

It's not always intuitive using the micro fish.  If the part is not where you think it should be, look to parts fishes of closeby stuff.  Here, it's not on the front fender, it's on the fr brake master cylinder.

BTW, ProCaliber generally has the lowest prices for OE parts (these days... things do change).  However, if your order is small, and not enough to give free shipping, their shipping is higher than many.  Keep this in mind when shopping/pricing stuff.  You may have to add to cart and start the order process to discover what shipping is; just don't hit the order button till you're done shopping.

I generally keep a little cheat sheet with a list of things I'd like to get.  When the collective value gives free shipping, I make an order.  This does not cover sh!t needed right away.

With two bikes, I like to have a front tire on hand at all times (my rear car tires last 37K, and I don't need them getting old in my shed).  A front tire generally gets free shipping, so I add all my bits and pieces to that order.  Having a non charged, acid on the side Yuasa battery on hand is a good idea too, and can help with free shipping.

Maybe there's no such thing as free shipping to Canada.  I dunno.

An easy cheap fix would be sand them then paint them black. No one but you would ever know coolsmiley

Thank you all! Super fast replies... and helpful!

I did think of sanding them and painting black... but when I took them off they were so badly corroded my Dremel hardly made a dent in the rust lol

I changed out the clips that came on my tired bike...

Later, I learned about Oxalic Acid, and I dipped some of the
old rusty stuff in it...
