Just looking for any recommendations for places to go shooting, both rifle, and pistol

Fallujah is probably farther than you want to travel.  (Mostly rifle)

I live on the west side of town so I can't comment on any other areas. As it's getting hot, I'll occasionally use Shooter's World indoor range. Not bad as far as indoor goes. There's Wickenburg Sportsmens Club, about 30 min from Surprise. Small outdoor private range with several pistol bays and a 50 and 100yd rifle range. Membership is becoming more restricted due to amount of members, but it costs just $50 for the year. http://www.wickenburgsportsmensclub.com/
I also go out to the desert. It's about a 40 min drive for me, but I usually make it at least a half day trip so I don't mind the drive.

A friend at work and his family did one of those epic cross-country in
a motorhome for several weeks things a couple of years ago.

He's a big shooter... he took his guns with them instead of leaving them
in his empty house. He told me stories about stopping in the middle of nowhere
in the desert where you can see in every direction for miles and miles. He'd
just get out and start shooting...
