On a big cruiser, one that has limited ground clearance anyway, I can see Darksiding.  But I just looked at my tires and my factory stock rear had about 1/3 inch chicken strip, within millimetres of the end of the treads.  How will a darkside handle that?

And a 50 is going to have less (if any) sidewall flex than a 60.

I didn't notice it till you mentioned it. Those megaphone exhausts will make the exhaust louder unless they have a baffle.

C/T will out-chicken strip a M/C any day. Absolutely no disputing the larger contact patch of the C/T. My I/S is Darksided and I run with a couple of sport bikes - they can't lose me. Usually, they're just in my way! First mod I 'll do to my 1800 is Darkside it.

Dont forget the 1500 rear tire is actually a narrower tire from the factory than the 1800. So the contact patch on the 1800 with a motorcycle tire may be about the same if not more. I have my tire worn down a bit and I can tell you that the contact patch is quite big. When riding in the rain last week and looking back the patch of dry road it was about 4 to 5 inches wide, which kind of surprised me.  Since I do not ride car tires I dont have the ct comparison but of all the videos I have seen of the ct on a bike I would have to say its about even. Not to mention cornering with the wider MC tire.
