this worked great for me, but not sure how it will for you:
i used my thumbnail to break the corner seal of the stickers so i could start peeling. much of it came off including the adhesive...but the trick was how to get rid of that damn sticky adhesive that was left.
i rubbed those spots with my fingers (you will get slight friction burn). after that i used lint free cloth with Turtle wax and all is good.
i'm sure someone posted about this in the past and that had a chemical they used but i can't quite remember.

I am afraid I will remove a piece and will be left with a piece that will be forever there , or left with an abundant amount of scratches trying to get the last piece removed
It reflects into the OEM Hondaline windshield

Trick is not to damage the paint underneath (or at the edges), which will be better than the rest of the paint.
I'd slime them with Goo Gone or other non-corrosive for awhile. Get a corner up and take as long as necessary to slowly peel it off (pull at 180* and goo gone underneath as it comes up). Then use cleaner wax or gas to get the rest of the goo off.... light (never hard) rubbing. Clean off gas. Wax again.

When my bike was new, my wife peeled off the stickers, and I wiped (didn't have to scrub or anything) the goo residue off with a rag soaked in linseed oil, it worked great.
I think the longer you leave your stickers on, the harder they will be to cleanly remove.
My 1500 was old when I got it, and the lawyer stickers were still on the tank, I got them off, but it wasn't near as nice as getting new stickers off...

Use a heat gun on low and at least a foot away and keep it moving, picking at it with your fingernail will tell you when its ready, alcohol, WD 40 or linseed oil as Mike said on a rag will remove any residue, wax to complete.

Alright , done , I actually had a heat gun , took a total of 5 minutes or less Still , a little glue left from the smaller sticker 3 bikes ago , I bought a Vstrom from original owner who partially scraped his off with a finger . I was afraid mine would end up like his . I guess he worked on it at stop lights .

I took mine off as soon as it came home. came off easy and waxed. If they have set in the sun, go to a body shop and get an opinion b4 screwing it up

Remove sticker with a heat gun or a hairdryer. Remove adhesive easily with WD-40 and a rag

Regular cooking oil (corn oil) removes most adhesives
