okay, the slot on the front cover that the RH side cover slips into broke....
worried that I'll loose the cover, leaving off for now, BUT what is the fix?
I've considered velcro on the frame tube to the inside of the cover....

thanks in advance,,,,   - Mike

Some have used Velcro as you describe and some have repaired them with some sort of liquid plastic but I can't remember exactly what it was.

The plastic parts are ABS, so ABS plumbing glue will work on it...
do you have the piece that broke off?

Velcro works.

The procedure for removing the side covers is in the owner's manual,
when I have to take mine off, I pull out the manual from under
the seat and re-read it if I haven't done it in a while...

I velcroed one of my side covers about 12- 13 years ago and it's still holding.

There's a number of old threads here on side cover repairs.
