My 97 has modified exhaust, glasspacks by HorseApple ranch which sound awesome by the way, but lately I have been getting a whiff of electrical, the bike pulls like a beast when you get on it, but at the low end in the 1500-2200 rpm it sounds like it running on 5 cylinders, should I replace the coil? if so go high tech or stock, and if replacing do wires too? 34K on the Bike and well maintained, it just bugs me.

Start simple: vacuum lines, exhaust nuts, clamps on carb intakes, spark plugs.

The Valkyrie has three coils. Each pair of opposing cylinders had their own coil. If one coil is bad then two cylinders would be misfiring. I doubt your issue is related
to the coils.
I would suspect fuel flow, could be the start of the fuel valve going bad. That is more common on a Valkyrie

I'm with Chris on this one - fuel. Standard pilot (slow) jets are pretty quick to close up or clog if the bike has been sitting much. You can try some Techron or Berrymans or Seafoam etc. to drive them clean. It's a very common issue when compared to ignition problems.
