So I'll keep this short as I've already read a couple other threads in regards to replacing the rear bearings with the 6204-2rs and 5204-2rs.
My question is who to get the bearings from?
I'm wanting to get the top quality bearings and am looking at these found here =6204-2RS;search[keywordSearchType]=phrase;search[matchWholeWords]=0;search[keywordFields]=text0:text2:text3:string0:code:text1;search[nested]=1;search[group]=735037;search[fuzzy_sku]=1]http://www.usabearingsandbelts.com/18.html?m7:search[keyword]=6204-2RS;search[keywordSearchType]=phrase;search[matchWholeWords]=0;search[keywordFields]=text0:text2:text3:string0:code:text1;search[nested]=1;search[group]=735037;search[fuzzy_sku]=1

My only concern is not having the dust seal.

What and/or where is the best place to get quality bearings?
Is not having a dust seal a issue?

A rear bearing failed on my '98 at about 50K miles.  The dealer sold me the wrong bearing, a 6204-RS (not 2RS) that only had the rubber seal on a single side.  The package had the right part number but the wrong bearing.  I talked to another owner who had the same experience.

Rather than drive 40 miles back to the dealer I went to the nearby NAPA store and they sold me the right one for about half of the dealer's price.  It has lasted for about 125K miles.

Based on my experience, it looks like Honda had a bearing supplier problem when they built some of the early Valkyries.  There was a rash of early failures, but a good 6204-2RS seems capable of lasting a very long time.  The 1500 Goldwing used the same bearing to carry a lot more weight than the Valkyrie.
