Just got back from the dealership after taking a test ride on a leftover 2014 black. $10499 plus fees for a brand new bike. I just couldn't resist $7500 off MSRP and the ride was awesome. I pick it up next week and it will be sitting parked next to my 97 Bumblebee. I'm psyched. Cheesy

Awesome, congrats!!!  Smiley  Cheesy

If I can ask, what made you take the plunge?  So many classic Valkyrie owners have dismissed the new one, classifying it as "ugly" (which it isn't, it just does not come across well in photos).  So what made you give it a shot?

A couple things got me to take the plunge. The price got me into the dealership to look at it close up. I like the technology of the new machines. The radiator pods are the things I disliked the most, but they are growing on me. I needed to get past comparing this bike to my 97. Like comparing apples to oranges. Once I got into the dealership and looked at it close up and sat on it, it felt great. Once offered to ride it , I had to take it out. Went for about a 10 mile ride and that was it. Feeling that smooth, silent power was almost as I remember my demo ride in 97. Rolling on that throttle and launching to triple digits in seconds was awesome. Went back to the dealership and said clean it up. I want it.

The only thing I can say to such a great write-up is that you'll love the pods once you realize what they do for you: no heat and almost no water on your legs during showers Smiley

Boy, I should have waited. I purchased a black Valk when they first came out- early 2014. I paid $16,999! The STEALER, I mean dealer, only took $1000 off list price. But they did give me a good buck on my trade- Suzuki M109. You will enjoy the new Valk, it is the smoothest bike I have ever ridden, and the power is deceiving.

Congrats! Awesome machine. I've had mine for two months and I'm still psyched. I got a tell you its one bike that will never leave my garage. Those radiater pods are worth there weight in gold. I got caught on Interstate 26 on the hottest day of the year sitting in stop and go 10 feet traffic and realized I wasn't getting cooking. Those fans reverse and pull the heat away from the rider and push it out the front. Super Cool. (pun intended)
Anyway enjoy this terrific machine. Heck I can't stay off mine, if the wife needs a loaf of bread or something I'll drive to a store other side of the county. Grin

Nice choice. I never got to test ride the Valk but the new F6 demo they did give me to try was very, very nice. The dealer told me that the Valkyrie is even more potent ... I'm sure at some point in the future I'll pull the trigger on one of the new ones. Till then... I ride my 98 Smiley

Wow you got me beat. $10,998 one year ago.  Keep the bee!  I still get out on the 1500 and she still puts a massive smile on my face!    Graduations!   Post a pic of the two side by side.    cooldude

Nice work! Welcome to the 1800 and welcome to the hunt for little to no aftermarket parts. Lol
