Had to move some wires around on the main harness and remove others that aren't used in the new gauge. The speedo input is like the one used on the I/S but the unit was for a smaller axle. So, after much digging I found my spare I/S speedo pick up and adapted the wiring connections to the new gauge. Since the 1200 isn't road ready I had to test it with an elec. drill using a small bit. Works great, turned the key on and hit the drill....was doing 90 mph just sitting there in the garage.  Grin Got the turn signals hooked up and working, same with the high beam indicator and neutral. By using a jumper I was able to hook up the wire for the tach then started the bike. Works fine. Only thin left is the fuel gauge keeps flashing, it's not hooked up so it thinks the tank is empty and is supposed to flash as a warning. The gauge needs ~6-10 ohms in the circuit to indicate a full tank so I'll probably pick up a low wattage resistor and wire it into the circuit. That should make it "think" the tank is full and will at least stop flashing all the time. The gauge has no oil pressure or temp warning lights so I'll have to rig up something separate for that. Next step will be trying to stuff all the wiring in the headlight bucket, it came out so must go back in.....I hope.  Roll Eyes

Colin, I need to take the mount apart now and paint it, then see about mounting the headlight. Once that's all done I'll take a couple shots of it with the bike running.  cooldude

I can't start on mine until after its bi-annual inspection on Wednesday. So it will be good to compare what you have done vs what I do.  cooldude
