This morning my friends and riding partners got together for breakfasr, coffee, and to tell a few lies.
One friend (Kickstand) has a prostethic leg due to a Valk/car  incident, the other (Dave Montgomery) had polio as a child and thus has a bum leg, and of course there is me still recovering from my accident in July (and other neuro-muscular ailments).

Since I'm still mending I drove my truck and the other two rode their bikes. We had a great time telling stories and oogling young girls, boasting about past glories and conquests, and checking out the bikes (wer'e Valk riders after all!).

Well of course all good things must come to an end and we shook hands and said our goodbys. I walked over to my truck, lost my footing somehow and fell.
Falling down is something that I've been getting a lot of practice at, but I got myself wedged between the curb and my truck. Face down no less!
I was wedged to badly that the EMS had to be called to lift me out. They had to be soo very careful as my clavicle is still quite tender from my last accident. All I had was minor scrapes and bruises. (I wonder if I will have perpetual road rash scars?).

So the moral to this story may be that riding a Valk might be safer than driving your truck.

I would normally park in the handicapped parking spots, however both handicapped spots had cars in them without hangtags or handicapped plates.

The only other close parking spot was by a high curb. I need to learn to maybe park a bit further away so that I'm not getting so close to the curbs.

Lessons hard learned.

I missed the car by inches.... But it was close enough I could not get the Valk off of me to get up. Good thing my 2 boys were riding with me.  Embarrassed
I understand the neurological issue.. Wrecked my lower back a number of years ago and every since then my left leg has had a mind of it's own. Decides it doesn't want to hold me up or walk sometimes.. uglystupid2 Especially whenI amnot paying attention.  tickedoff
Driving the truck is just asking for it...... Ride the Valk!!! cooldude    As soon as you can that is!!!!
