All for it, my daughter has gone through that and it's back again, more than ten years later. It's in the bones and probably terminal down the road, per her doctor. Hope it's a looooonnng time down the road.

I'm also all for using the apostrophe before the "s" instead of the coma. Sorry...it's a "teacher" thing.  Wink

You lost me "teacher."  You want to put a punctuation mark before the "s" because . . . . . . . . . .

All right, everyone knows I’m a jerk.  I’m the one that always rains on the parade.  But did you know that more men die of prostate cancer, then women die of breast cancer per year.  You never ever hear of there being a “walk for prostate cancer” drive or “save your dick, get it checked…” type of commercial on television.

See, women just don’t care for men the way men promote breast cancer awareness!  You know a woman wouldn’t have made a commercial like that video, that would be sexist!  Why don’t women care to help find a cure for prostate cancer?? I tell you it’s a conspiracy!!

By the way, if women did make a video like the one posted for breast cancer, about prostate cancer, it’d be sick!  I don’t think there would be a single straight guy that would watch it!

I was going to say I was typing this with tongue in cheek, but then I thought that would really be sick……

Oh hell, never mind!

Those were some really jiggley boobies though!!  Watched the video twice!!

Proud of you Timbr  always thinking of the other folks

I was going to post a bouncing pic that some of you know but I am taking the high road .......just this once.

Alph, make the commercial and lets see how it comes out. I will keep an open mind. Maybe use Stanley as a model, he has no problems showing his stuff   2funny

But dont you think cross this country more women nag their husbands to get tests than men nag women to get their mamograms and smears done

Hope someday cancer gets beat whenever it shows its ugly self Till then my prayers are with you John  and all of your families who have to deal with it  and I thank you all again for your prayers for my daughter

I realize it's not a possessive form in the manner it was used(can boobs really possess anything? Oh yes!!  Wink), I was just commenting on the use of the comma instead of the apostrophe. Guess I should have been more descriptive and made the distinction between plural and possessive as well.

First I want to say... I SUPPORT BOOBIES!!!  as some have said, just as often as I can.

Now, Alph.  The fact is that in society, women are seen as needy, week and unprotected.  In the eyes of the law they are seen as more virtuous.  As a minority they are seen again in the eyes of the law as having a tougher time than men thus they get special chances to get off the hook for IRS penalties etc where as men get nailed.  Its all wrong, but thats the fact. Face it.  If your a guy, especially a white guy, in the eyes of the law and society, your screwed.  You get nada!

".....comma instead of the apostrophe...."
Notice in the later comment it's spelled correctly. That's because the first entry was being typed while I'm talking to my daughter and great-grandson via the webcam. At my age, I shouldn't try doing more than one thing at a time, always comes back to bite me. Makes it look like I'm in a "coma."  Cheesy

Hi, John.  Judy and I also hope it's a very long time down the road.

Thanks for the well wishes, she and her husband have been teaching for many years in Louisiana. But a year ago, between the chemo and meds, she became so run down that it forced her to take a sabbatical for this past spring semester. She was hoping her health would improve enough and she could regain enough strength to enable her to return the to classroom this fall. But it was not to be, so she applied for early retirement(only about 2 1/2 yrs. early) with disability and it was accepted. I'm glad she did it, without the hassle of the daily classroom and all that goes with it, she seems to be responding to treament. We should know in about two weeks when her next scan comes up. She's the oldest of my four girls, ages 41-51, and we're hoping she's around for a long time to come. If you recall, we lost our #3 to cancer three years ago this past May, not sure I could take it if we lost another one.

Are you going to be at the Breakfast Club gathering this Friday at Luigi's? I'm going to try and make it if the weather looks like it will hold off the rain. I'll chat with you then re. your current family challenges.

My wife has done the sixty mile Susan B. Anthony walk. It was a real eye opener for me to hear the survivors stories.

I hear breast cancer gets more funding (public and private) than any other form of cancer. Hopefully the cures and accomplishments that they make will help everyone.

I received this email from my sister about my Adopted Niece Mikayla. My wonderful Niece Makyla has donated 10 inches of her hair to make wigs for those women who are battling cancer. (And a photo of her minus the 10 inches.)  Oh did I mention that she is a State Champion Gymnast and the love of my life. (but don't tell my other nieces and nephews)

Mikayla had 10 inches of her hair cut today in order to donate her hair to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths in honor of Aunt Jenn's 2 year anniversary of her healing and homecoming. Pantene will use her hair to make free wigs for ladies who are battling cancer.

This is for you Jenn. We love and miss you!

Jennifer was a Christians' Christian and embodied everything that our faith is about.

She was a best friend to my sister, Nieces' and Nephews.

She was diagnosed with cancer about 5-6 years ago and given 6 months to live.  Although Jennifer was the one who was dying she was all of our source of strength and she lived every moment of her life over the next 3-4 years as if it were her last.

She was a fighter to say the least!

All throughout the Radiation, Chemo, and pain and nausea  and hair loss. Jennifer had an indescribable  GLOW & BEAUTY about her that that touched anyone she had contact with.  You could almost see her Halo! angel  She was the most Beautiful Bald women I have every seen including Demi Moore!

It's been two years now since Jennifer lost her battle with cancer and even as I sit here and write this I can not hold back the tears for missing her beautiful spirit and inspiration.

Tom

PS: I was just informed by my much better half that her/our grand daughter Chloe did the same thing last year when she had her hair cut.
What a wonderful family I have.
