I'm in Asheville for the next month. I'm looking for a shop to take the Valk into, as I have either a battery (shouldn't be as it's 1 year old) or starter problem.

Almost stranded me today after I gassed up. After repeated tries it kicked over.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Bill

Hagen's Cycles 2000 Riverside Drive #26, Asheville, 828-253-2636.
No affiliation etc. etc.
Hagen is good people and rides a Valk. I heard of him thru the VRCC general board when Fiddle Mike posted that Hagen had moved from Texas to Asheville. I've had my bike in his shop 3 times and have no complaints.

MR Motorcycles have always treated me very well when I've had emergency tire problems.

Go to any parts house and grab a can of electrical contact cleaner.  Pull apart the starter switch and clean the dust out and then give it a few tries and see if it improves. Phillips screw driver and a can of cleaner might save you a shop visit. Might not, but it is something that you can do in a motel room when nothing is on tv.

Here's a better description of fixing the starter if it's the issue.

Thanks for all the input guys.
I picked up a can of electrical contact cleaner, and will give that a shot.
Keeping my fingers crossed, that it will work.

If not, then Hagen Cycles is looking good!
Thanks
