Tomorrow I am about to embark on a long trip. However, the weather here in Colorado has really gone bad. I was planning on leaving here in Broomfield around 3:00 AM tomorrow & travel south down I-25 to Las Cruces, NM which means I will have to go over Monument Hill near Colorado Springs & Raton Pass near Raton, NM. I looked the weather up there on the Weather Channel & they say rain & snow. I-70 is totally out as they had anywhere from a foot to three feet of snow yesterday. So, I planned a new route...ride out to Limon, CO then take Hwy 287 down to Amarillo, TX going thru the Oklahoma Pan Handle. Then west to Albuquerque, NM then down to Las Cruces, NM then west on I-10 to Yuma AZ. It just may work out. Albuquerque is about the same altitude as here in Denver. It could snow there this time of year but I was talking to a lady on the phone from work & she said it is sunny & warm there. But, you all know how the weather can change suddenly here in the Southwest. I am going for it anyway. The part of the ride to Butte, MT has definitely been cancelled. I should have done this trip last week because the weather was perfect except for possible afternoon thunder showers. I could not get the time off work last week tho. Anyway, I will make it or not. I will be crossing my fingers tonight when I am sleeping. I hope all of you have nice weather this week-end. Ride safe. IBA 1990 tommy t. **** now you really are a Go Go Bombshell girl, Rebecca. Your Jacket really looks nice. I like it.

Sorry...what I meant was the towns like Evergreen & other towns on I-70 had snow Have snow. CDOT keeps the Highway clear. May be some ice. I have not been up there lately. Just snowed yesterday & today. One of my co-workers works at home & lives in Idaho Springs & he said they got a lot. A couple of feet I think. But I-70 is almost always clear on the highway itself. Can get real slick tho. I know I am not taking the Valk up there. In a week or two it could be warm again. September in the rockies in Colorado can have anything. I saw it snowing at Eisenhower tunnel on June 29th one year. Saw it snow on July 4th weekend in Loveland Pass one year. Very unpredictable. Hope it's clear when you come thru.
