Well that's where I'm at tonight...Colby,Kansas . I never knew Kansas had some much history till I traveled I-70 today and saw all the highway markers. Much cooler here than in The Great State of Tennessee.
I saw sunflower farms today a first for me .

Joe, you are getting a far piece into the flat land there. Should be able to see Colorado from there. You on two wheels or a whole bunch of wheels?

26 wheels  cooldude  I'm headed to Red Bluff, California to pick-up a piece of equipment. The Colorado state line is 53 miles down the road. I should cross it before daylight in the morning.

Joe,

I rode across KS and E CO on the way home from Inzane a couple of years ago. What a long hot, hot, hot drag that was.

Yeah, yeah Black Pearls Captain I could have gone the KS400 route but the excitement would have been too much for me. Cheesy

Get your jaw catcher prepared.

When you first see the Rockies as small bumps on the horizon it will not prepare you for the visual shocka as they suddenly shoot up in front of you.

It does seem as if they spring up from nowhere.

If you are going all the way west on I 70 you'll go thru the Eisnehower tunnel and past Frisco where Inzane has been held for a couple of years.

Most of the Inzaners have ridden over Loveland Pass which takes you east to west over the top of the mountain the tunnel goes through.

As you approach the tunnel from the east look up to your left and you can see the bumpy bits we've ridden over.

Hey Joe, I spent the night in Colby, KS in 06 on the way home from Seattle. I think it was a Super 8 right beside a Burger King.  They had a big snow storm in Denver this morning. Probably all gone by now.  Be careful bro!!

If your'e haulin Hazmat you get to go over loveland.  Are you oversized?  If so you probly will be rerouted to miss both.  26 wheels is a lot, may be too big for the tunnel.  Anyhow welcome to Kansas, you still got a way to go to the mountains.  hoser

SHHHH, don't let all the secrets out. Most people only know about I-70 I-35 and KS400. Don't tell them otherwise or our roads will be crowded with dang tourist.
