looking to install a Cigarette lighter & USB port in my fairing. Where have you mounted yours in your fairing? I do not want anything mounted on my bars.

When listening to the radio it will default to the clock. Is there anything I can do to change this? I don't like looking at the time when I am riding.

You can click the CLock button on the bar controls to default it to the radio station.
As for the ports I have a box mounted on my bars as there really is no good place to do it on the fairing

Don't forget to consider the side covers too, close to your person and easy access to wiring.   I've mounted lighter outlets in covers, then ran a line up to a tank bag to  limit clutter around the controls.

My IS , the PO mounted a dual USB/lighter port, zip tied to the top of the tank bid, between the tank/triple tree. I actually like it there.

I was going to get those ones that screw into a hole. Mount them into the inner fairings. But I don't see how they will go in, it's a lot nicer where mine is now.

If I can find a pic, I'll add it here.

Here is the pic.

I bought one of the dual plugs from O'rielly's. The plain black rubber coated ones and mounted it on the left side where the intercom plug hangs, ( mine has been removed) and instead of using screws to hold it to the fairing I just got some really good double sided tape and stuck it there. Been there three years and you don't even see it because the bars shield it from being seen. And if I ever want to remove it just pull it off no trace left.

Same here.  Got a Cig lighter and a 12 volt socket (same thing) on the left side rear facing black panel.

I no longer need them and think I will remove them.  Will need to find some plugs for the holes.

They have a matching Volt meter to go in there instead.

I mounted mine on the left side of the inner fairing under the speaker pod. very flush and factory looking. it came with a waterproof silicone cover so it looks like it was designed to be there. I also have a power plug in the trunk on the right side, it is also behind the speaker pod.
