You can place the amp on top of your battery. There is enough cable to do it. I just slide it under the battery strap. When I need into it, I just pick up the amp and lay it off to the side. I ran the mp3 hook up under the seat, under my tank bib, and out the side of the bib and tank. I can put it in the pouch out of the weather this way. Also I hid all the wiring under the tank. The black neck cover I can remove and get to my fuse this way.
Unfortunately, I didn't get the one with the remote, so I'll need access to the amp for power, mute and volume controls. I don't think the amp I got it waterproff, so I'll need to get a little creative there. Fudgie, does the amp you have get hot? Mine seems to have a little opening at the top front and back, I assume for air flow, and I'd hate to seal that up and have the thing overheat.
