Sorry Romeo, I had no idea you were so sensitive. I don't have any skyscrapers, I don't have employees anymore, and I'm not real sure how to answer the last. I do know however, that I haven't declared bankruptcy four times, the only lawsuit I've ever been involved in was a traffic beef (in which I was found not guilty), and I'm not an insufferable tool. I'm just sitting back waiting for the big, I mean HUGE, implosion when Mr Trump goes down in a flaming spiral..... Again, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.

No our Daddy's did not leave us a crap ton of Money to play with and a real estate business to do average with.....
Several business people/analysts have shown that if the Donald had just averagely invested the money from Daddy in basic funds or safe market investments he would be at about the same level of wealth as he is now....
A good business man does not have 4 bankruptcies to their names either.....

My post had nothing to do with my feelings being hurt. I am not a big Trump fan either. But I am realistic enough to give a man his due. Mr. Trump is nothing, if not successful. He runs businesses you and I cant even dream about. My post was a response to the constant, incessant, negative smugness that seems to permeate everything you " contribute" to every post you participte in. And, the sad thing, is its so predictable.

And therein lies the issue Romeo. His whole campaign is based on "Look at me, I'm a hugely successful businessman " . Many of us don't consider someone who stiffs his working class subcontractors in his bankruptcies a "Good Business Man"

Baldo has not run a scam fleecing respectable people with a promise of top secrets on how to get rich. If pressed, baldo would probably release his tax returns, and as far as I know baldo likely has fewer divorces and if he has any didn't demand a non disclosure agreement for them to keep their mouths shut. Don't know about baldo's charitable giving but it's likely if he pledged an amount he would pay it without being hounded by the press. His meltdown is going to be Huuuuge. Romeo, I don't really know what to say. If you take issue with my posts, you don't like my politics, if you find me offensive in any way, you always have an option. Just as it's been presented to me in the past, just ignore my posts. Just as I do with some on this board. No harm, no foul. And like others that have commented on Trump's 'success', for someone that doesn't like the man, you were pretty quick to jump in with both feet. Just relax, this thread wasn't supposed to be some big heavy discussion. Just sit back and watch...

Well maybe. But to be honest I'm not outraged by the Donald. If anything it's closer to amused. I just don't get all this talk about him being a great businessman. Another thing that I'm finding curious is all along most of his supporters have been enamored with the idea that he is self funding. Now he is doing fundraisers like all politicians and nobody seems to see the hypocrisy.

I've been telling this to anyone that would listen, right from the moment that he started trumpeting that he was self funded. he simply 'loans' his campaign X $$$, then 'pays' himself back, with interest...He's got everyone buffaloed into believing his horseapples... Here are just a few articles revealing Trump for the lying blowhard that he is...too many to list individually, so here's the whole page.... https://www.google.com/search?q=trump+self+funding&espv=2&biw=1280&bih=923&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiJ4833irjNAhUm_4MKHWfODZIQ_AUIBSgA&dpr=1

Respectable big money givers aren't willing to be remotely associated with him. The man is cash strapped and will likely sell assets to raise funds.

As long as Trump doesn't unemploy 100's or 1000's at one of his companies in order to fund his campaign and instead sells some of his assets, I'm fine with it.
The real question is: Which one, Trump or Hillary, is the lesser of the 2 evils?
Bernie Sanders makes the most common sense he just doesn't have the funding to back him up or cronny support like those 2 jokers do.

So Baldo you surely do not think Lincoln and Jefferson were clowns?
Read this post till the end Remember the man in the car with Kennedy when he was shot? In fact he was also shot
That man was John Connally a former Navy Secretary and a Treasury Secretary and Governor of Texas who should have been the VP during Humphrey's try for President. If he was Nixon would have lost as Muskie was a disaster.
Anyway he went bankrupt I believe 3 times and his contributions were many. He had such character as to have once been able to call both Lady Bird and Jackie O to testify on his behalf. Two more different ladies would be hard to find.
Here is a list of famous people who have filed for bankruptcy
Although the decision to file bankruptcy should not be taken lightly, it is nothing to be ashamed about. It can be the first step towards your future personal and financial success. Below is a list of some great and other famous Americans who found it necessary to file bankruptcy. All-in-all, not a bad group of people to be associated with:
Abraham Lincoln - 16th president of the Unites States- twice filed bankruptcy
Ulysses S. Grant - 18th president of the United States
Thomas Jefferson - founding father, author of the Declaration of Independence, 3rd president of the United States
William McKinley - 25th president of the United States
Dave Ramsey - self-professed “get out of debt” guru
Walt Disney - as in Mickey Mouse and Disneyland
Rembrandt Haremenszoon Van Rijn - Dutch painter
P.T. Barnum - filed for bankruptcy in 1871
Mark Twain - American author
Oscar Wilde - playwright
Henry John Heinz - condiment manufacturer famous for Heinz ketchup (my personal favorite)
Milton Hershey - founder of Hershey's chocolate
Henry Ford - automobile manufacturer
J.C. Penney - founder of the department store chain
Mickey Rooney - actor
Debbie Reynolds - movie actress and hotel/casino owner
Johnny Unitas - NFL Hall of Fame quarterback
Dorothy Hamill - figure skater, Olympian
Bjorn Borg - tennis star
Jerry Lee Lewis - rock and roll star
Burt Reynolds - shortly after his divorce from Loni Anderson
Sherman Hemsley - aka George Jefferson of “The Jefferson’s” sitcom
Gary Busey - actor
Nicholas Cage - actor
“Octomom” Nadya Suleman - famous procreator
Kim Basinger - actress, former wife of Alec Baldwin
MC Hammer - entertainer, musician, dancer (Hammer Time)
Willie Nelson - country music legend
Larry King - talk show host
Donald Trump - filed separate Chapter 11 for his hotels/casinos
Mike Tyson - boxer, filed Chapter 11
Joe Lewis - boxer
Warren Sap - NFL football player
Terrell Owens - NFL football player
Leon Spinks - boxer
Stephen Baldwin - actor
Jose Conseco - MLB baseball player
Janice Dickinson, self proclaimed "first supermodel"
Vince Neil - lead singer of “Motley Crue”
Donna D'Errico, former Baywatch babe and ex-wife of Nikki Sixx of "Motley Crue"
George McGovern - former presidential candidate
John Connally - Texas governor who was injured while riding with President John F. Kennedy at the time of his assignation
To use a tool in the US code to protect one's liberty and pursuit of happiness and profit is neither something to be despised or lauded. It just is, well like using gasoline to power a motorcycle.
Trump saved millions for his family because he was smart enough to put pride below business necessity. This is something we need more of in government not less of..... (I can see Willow bemoaning the dangling of lol)
I said it before it took Teddy Roosevelt to establish the National Parks and it will take a Trump to establish a similar legacy to government, if the Secret Service can keep him from being assassinated.

Oss, I wouldn't put Trump's 'strategic' bankruptcies anywhere near anything noble. He does it simply to spare himself losing money. It's like a corporation that does someone wrong, is sued in court and loses, then files for bankruptcy the following day to avoid having to payout. His history of bankruptcy is just one little facet of his character, or should I say lack thereof. He's a pathetic little fool that has millions of people fooled into believing he's in any way Presidential. He's a joke of the highest (lowest) order, and the rest of the world is laughing at us. The only reason he's in his position is because the rest of the Republican candidates were even worse than him.....like I said, clown car.

Call Trump anything you want, make fun of his hair, his wife, etc. But remember, nothing he has ever done could be worse than lying to parents of dead soldiers. NOTHING! Yet you will be pulling the lever, filling in the oval, making the X in the box for someone who has, lied to the parents of dead soldiers, and then you'll go home and sleep comfortably. Something else Trump will never do.

I've been telling this to anyone that would listen, right from the moment that he started trumpeting that he was self funded. he simply 'loans' his campaign X $$$, then 'pays' himself back, with interest THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT CLINTON DID WHEN SHE FIRST RAN< EXACTLY!...He's got everyone buffaloed into believing his horseapples... And then she lied to the parents of dead soldiers, then told everyone that it is the parents who are lying. Lying to cover previous lies. I know, I know, at this point, What Difference Does It Make ? ? ?

Yet you're gonna vote for Clinton. I guess she has YOU believing that lying to the parents of dead soldiers IS presidential. I'm sorry,........who's the fool?

My post had nothing to do with my feelings being hurt. I am not a big Trump fan either. But I am realistic enough to give a man his due. Mr. Trump is nothing, if not successful. He runs businesses you and I cant even dream about. My post was a response to the constant, incessant, negative smugness that seems to permeate everything you " contribute" to every post you participte in. And, the sad thing, is its so predictable.
And therein lies the issue Romeo. His whole campaign is based on "Look at me, I'm a hugely successful businessman " . Many of us don't consider someone who stiffs his working class subcontractors in his bankruptcies a "Good Business Man" Yet lying to the parents of dead soldiers is a practice you seem to be OK with. Ive never said anything of the sort.

Baldo, do you own skyscrapers all around the world? Do you employ thousands of people? What have you contributed to western culture? Who's the clown now?
Sorry Romeo, I had no idea you were so sensitive. I don't have any skyscrapers, I don't have employees anymore, and I'm not real sure how to answer the last. I do know however, that I haven't declared bankruptcy four times, the only lawsuit I've ever been involved in was a traffic beef (in which I was found not guilty), and I'm not an insufferable tool. Clinton lied to the parents of dead soldiers and then told the world that it's the parents who lied. Funny, but that's not the way we libs roll. I don't recall anyone making fun of his hair or his wife. Maybe his 'tan'... ....there's enough material we don't need to go after the low hanging fruit.... Have a nice day.

I know you're not one who needs convincing. But there are those here, who like to go after character a lot and try to shame the opposition, or try to use the moral high ground when shaming or going after character. I find it so ironic this time around that they are using the same M.O. when their candidate has done something so despicable yet they can so readily ignore it. Shame on them.

Yeah I know everyone thinks it only a choice between Clinton and Trump. I disagree. Ah no, actually, most folks are aware of Mr. Johnson's candidacy. But, most folks believe that a vote for anyone other than Trump is a vote for Hilary. Personally, I see it that way. Mr. Johnson has no chance to do anything other than hurt Trump's chances. Please don't confuse me with a Trump fan, I simply despise Hilary.
