I ordered a set of Kuryakyn ISO grips from J&P Cycles, but when I went to put them on they were too small. My bar is one inch, but the clutch side grip is 7/8". I think the grip size for the throttle side is 1" because it fit nice and snug on the clutch side. It didn't come close to fitting on the throttle side. The part# that I ordered, the one that the website fit my bike, was ZZ50234, which appears to be an in house part#. The Kuryakyn part# I received is 6180. What is the Kury part# that I should be getting for a stock Valk Interstate?

It bummed me out because I pulled off my old grips yesterday, and today is mid 70's and a beautiful day to ride. Now I'm out of commision for a few days at least. I suppose I could slide the old ones back on, but I don't want to re-glue them.

I have never heard of this.  You think one side grip is 7/8 and not an inch?  I'm not even sure Kury Iso's are made in 7/8".  I would call Kury direct, even if you didn't buy from them.  Ask for tech support, they are usually very helpful.

Before using glue, did you try using something slick just to see if you could get that side on? (WD40, or alcohol is slick until it dries with no residual).  Also, look down inside the barrel to be sure there is not some untrimmed rubber or other obstruction.  If you need to work in there, you can take the end caps off with a tiny allen wrench.

Standard universal Kury Iso's are 5 3/4" long and they will work on Valk, but the Kury's made specifically for Valk are extra long at 6 1/4" long.  (My hands are so small, with the 6 1/4"ers, I can fit both hands on either side.)

I don't have part numbers at hand.

I took the Kury ISO from my 1100 Spirit and they fit just fine on the Valk. They are  #KY6240. And yes they make 7/8" ISO's #KY6241.

I replaced mine and they fit perfectly, both sides.  I'll bet you bought the 7/8 size and the throttle side fit on the non-throttle bar.  That leaves the smaller size to try to force onto the throttle, which will never happen.

The correct Kury P/N for the grips is 6190. I bought a set not too long ago and they fit like a glove.... Cheesy

Model specific for sure but the ISO #6240 list Valks also for fitment in case of you run into to a $45 special like I did and too cheap to let them go with the VT1100C.  Smiley
