My headlight quit working on my standard. No high or low and no power at the plug. Checked the fuse and all the usual stuff. Just wondering if the handlebar switch goes bad ?
I ordered a smart switch from Bon S put will also headplace the handlebar switch if they have a history of failing.

Thanks
Lyle

If your accessory terminals, tail/running lights, and meters (lights and tach needle) are also not working, the issue is with your ignition (key) switch or the wiring/connections to/from it.

The headlight high/low switch is fed power by a blue with white stripe wire.  If that wire is hot when the key is on, the problem is with your switch or the wiring from it to the headlight bulb, or possibly the green ground wire from the headlight bulb.

I've never had an issue with the high/low switch.

Thanks guys, I hadn't really thought starter button as nine isn't very old and I don't have anything extra going through it but between that idea and Gryphon Rider's electrical advice I will sort it out.

Thanks again, this board is the best !
