I have the cobra 6 into 6 pipes and like them a lot.  I just wish they were a tad louder.  However, I don't want to run without baffles because I want to preserve the backpressure and also don't want to be crazy obnoxiously loud.
Has anybody successfully swapped out cobra baffles for shorter ones that are the same diameter?  Would this accomplish my goal?  Looking online, cobra makes several different length baffles.

I have same pipes. I removed my baffles and sold them very cheaply to a fellow member looking for some. Imho , She sounds like I want her to sound. But I have also had HD friends tell me that they thought it would be louder. Guess its just what you like to hear.

did the removal of your baffles affect your gas mileage? Up or down. Been thinking about removing mine for a while. Thanks

Muscrat. Not that I could tell. No dropoff or gain. And I'm not one to worry much if I get 10 less miles on a tank. I ride to enjoy the ride and the sound of my bike.

When you took your baffles out of your cobra pipes did you have to do reject your carbs?

I did not. As I researched it on the forum and most responses were a NO. I did it the same day I did my desmog and only adjustment was mixture screw.
