I got a noise that just started and it sounds like an exhaust leak but that ain't it! Does anyone know what it could be? Sounds like it's coming from between the gas tank and engine! I would appreciate your input! The noise gets faster as I turn the throttle!

Check all the manifold tubes connecting the carbs to the air box, if one is partially disconnected it could sound like that.  Also make sure all 18 screws for the intake manifold clamps (engine to carbs) are tight.

I have the same ticking sound. I have chased it for almost a year and cant find it. Mine is desmoged so it's not the pair valves. Exhaust are not leaking everything is on and tight. It runs good with no problems so I just ride it and forget about it.

I have been chasing a tic for over a year on my desmogged engine. New exhasut gaskets. JB Welded all the freeze plugs from the desmog. I'm down to it being a slack oil chain, which being internal will just make racket until it breaks.

I'll tell you exactly what three different shops told me when I complained about a noise on my Electraglide:  "Get louder pipes".  So I did and that fixed it..

I ride way too many miles to have either a mechanical problem or loud pipes.
