To those that have installed this type of horn under the right pod, what did you use to mount it?  Looks like there's a 6 mil bolt that is in the right place.  It can't be that easy ???

I put I/S pods on my Std.  Put a car horn in the right pod that bolted right up to the original horn bracket.
It was that easy, for me anyway.

The horn your showing, I don't know how they mount.

I used a 1/8" pc of aluminum and made a 90 degree bracket and used the upper radiator bolt as a mount. You can see the bracket in the picture. Don't know why photostash turned the pic.

I did this but mounted mine vertical instead of horizontal.

I have horns like that in both pods. Been several years but I used strap metal from my scrap stuff, (hardware stores have any thing you might need) took my time to make sure the pods can be removed and put back without messing with the horns. Can't remember, but mounted horns with bolts that were already there.

To mount the horn in the PODS, you will obviously need to open or remove the POD and mount the horn with some strap or scrap metal.   Rather than block the air in the POD with the shiney piece of chrome horn.  I'd mount it in the OEM spot or on the side.... and less work messing with the POD.

I have a permanent jack adapter mounted and have my non-chrome air horn mounted underneath on that jack adapter out of the way and it doesn't interfere with the jack.

Don't hide chrome....show it.  LOL.

I have one in each pod.... used about a 4" piece of strap steel hoel in each end and used one of the radiator bolts.. I also mounted the relay right on the top of each of the horns and slip the original horn wire to both relays on the horns... If you just mount the horn in the right one, there is plenty of the old horn wiring to make it to the relay... I then ran new wires to the left side from there....

They really  don't block all that much airflow in the pods... I blew air thru the pods when I had one horn and one empty and could feel no difference..... thats why I put one in each...

Mine have been in there for about 4 years.... I have 2 Stebel Nautilus's, but the Wolo is the same

Not an Interstate but I mounted the Big Bad Max horn on my Tourer, replacing the Wolo horn shown in the picture below.

The bracket made from .125" aluminum sheet was complex to make but locates the horn in the best possible position.  It attaches using the engine guard bolt.

PAVALKER,

I had the horn originally mounted next the fuel shut off, hence the reason for going with the chrome unit. I didn't want it in the stock location facing forward collecting bugs and water, besides I left the stock horn their. If I put another horn in the other pod I will for go the chrome one for the standard unit. As far as showing the chrome, I think I have the chrome covered! LOL!
