I have been sitting on a petcock rebuild kit for three months, vowing to do some preventative maintenance.  I was disappointed to find the kit was for a petcock of large diaphragm diameter and slightly different design than what I needed.  A little internet research has led me to believe the standard Valkyrie petcock is different from the touring or I/S, and the kit I need is NLA and nobody is reproducing it.

Am I correct, or is their hope?

The factory petcocks for all Valkyrie models are the same.

Go with Honda.

Within the past couple of weeks I bought and used this kit to rebuild the petcock on my 98 C model Valkyrie.  It was leaking fuel out of the petcock weep hole profusely and after the rebuild and a stupid vent line kink on my part later.  Everything is fine.

I paid $17.21 for it.  Bought it on the 20th of June and had it installed on the bike the 23rd.
