Hi, I was able to get a CB, and am wondering if installation would be made easier by relocating the trunk back to its original location. I used some aluminum stock to relocate it, and probably could just remove the additions. Just wondering if anyone has any alternate solutions or experience in this area. thanks for your thoughts!

my cb is under the trunk and I have the trunk moved back 3 inches. so no I don't think it would make any difference. cb mounts to the trunk rails. not the trunk itself.

As was mine until 3 days ago. Pulled it out and put it in the cabinet. Never even turned it on in the 6 years I have had the bike.

Thanks, Meathead, Rick, and Gavin_Sons, I'll try following the instructions & leaving the trunk where it is. Rick, I was hoping to see you & Deb at InZane, but D & d let me know about your situation. Maybe the PowWow next year... Thanks for knowing everything!

yeah Karen. my vacations are are cancelled until further notice. my helper passed away memorial day weekend and till they find a replacement I cannot even take a day off unless I'm to sick to get out of bed. finding a replacement is gonna be like finding a needle in a haystack. there are few people that can work on the stuff I work on and to train someone young. well we know todays young folk don't wanna work. besides having to buy around 30,000 in tools just to keep up with the industry. so that's my reason for not making inzane. even though I was only 5 hours away.
