For me it was always Avon tires until I went dark and installed a NEXEN on the rear.

The Avons were great in rain and mileage was 15,000 rear and 30,000 front
I still ran the Avon up front with the CT and had over 20,000 on the rear CT when I sold the bike.  I was very happy with the NEXEN.

I still run a CT on the rear of my F6B

The best prices I've found for internet tire purchases are from Jake Wilson, because they typically ship the tire for free.  I've stuck with the Dunlops and run E3s both front and back.  Most recently I purchase an E3 rear tire in April this year for $195 including shipping. Links to Jake Wilson and another good site are below. Good luck.

I've run a Austone Taxi Tire on one of my Valks for about 16K.

It's the bike I use for 2 up so the extra height, is compensated by the extra weight. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The tire has been excellent in all situations and weather and has a least 1/2 the original tread still showing.
