I had an accident a few months ago where I was forced off off the highway and down a ditch..Not much damage except cosmetic I think....but how do I check my forks to see if they may be twisted or out of alignment??Thanks Guys

If it rides OK, especially if you take both hands off the handlebars at the same time.
I would think an easy way to check them would be to remove the front wheel and look at just the forks. If installing the wheel goes easy and d
Smooth, then you should be fine

Access to the forks? Std/Tourer. Get something perfectly flat, a plate of glass, a length of channel iron, and place it across your forks and press down in each of the 4 corners. If it rocks at all, then the forks are not aligned.
It could be as simple as loosening the forks, one at a time, and let them realign. There is a way to do it, which you can search for the how to here.

Assuming that plate glass is flat is folly and dangerous to use it in such a manner. Best is to use some sewing thread and scotch tape and inspect for the skew line. Much simpler and more accurate.
