I have a set of Progressive 416's sitting in a box that I would like to try. I noticed there is a bit of oil leaking from one of the shocks, so I would like to rebuild them (I am unsure when/if the seals have ever been done before). I'll likely be putting Prog springs in the front too.

Has anyone rebuild a set of these shocks before? I tried contacting Progressive but I could not connect (tried this last week, I know they are closed today) and have not responded to my e-mails. Unfortunately there is no official distributor this side of the boarder, so if anyone ca help me out with a part number for the seal kit, that would be great. Google only finds a kit listed for the GL1100/1200's.

Seal kit #30-5041 I only did seals for fluid chamber I did not heat up and remove spring and change seal at top of shock. Mine were seeping out of bottom. Was not hard to do but if you do all seals I hear thats tough

Perfect. Thanks for the info. I found a couple of different options online, so we will see.

How do you like the 416s?
