I looked at a "cosmetically" damaged Valk today. It didn't look too bad, the owner ran out of road and jammed it between a row of cars and a concrete barrier.
Crash bars & drivers floorboards bent back. No damage to the fenders, mufflers, etc

No visible damage to the gear shift lever but it is stuck in gear. You can push the bike and the driveline turns over the engine.

Anybody ever hear of a Valk getting stuck in gear ? Any idea on how to cure it ?

Thanks
Lyle

Yes, not a Valk. Stuck while running? If not try pulling clutch and starting. Also try rocking back and forth (engine off).

Is the neutral light on? Have you pulled in the clutch lever while trying to move it? How long has it been sitting? It is possible that that the clutch discs are 'stuck' and need to be 'broken loose'. As said before, rocking the bike back and forth with the clutch lever pulled in should it.

No neutral light as it was stuck in gear. I could roll it in gear to confirm it wasn't hydrolocked. The lights came on but not enough juice to turn it over. I didn't think to roll it with the clutch pulled in.
I decided I had enough Valks and didn't take the guy up on his offer, walked away.
Thanks for the input guys !

Sounds like the crash may have jammed the shift lever causing damage inside the case.
