Okay, okay, I don't know how to put on a bra! Cheesy I do know how to take them off though!  2funny

I bought a used fairing bra or "nose mask" for my Interstate. I can't find any instructions but you wouldn't think I'd need any! However, apparently that's not the case.

First, It has a couple of elastic cords on either end with plastic hooks. What do they hook to?

Second, I looked at a friends installation and found a surprise. His setup has a 12" long Velcro fastener that wraps around the bottom of the fairing where the clear plastic fairing wind deflectors are. (His have been removed as he has Baker Air Wings.) I don't have this Velcro piece at all and my nose mask is a bit loose right in that area. I looked for extra stitching that would have given away that these Velcro strips had been added but it all looks factory. So, which is factory? Could there have been more than one model?

As I remember they hook on to those slots in the clear plastic air deflector at the bottom of the fairing.  There are also 4 clips (I think) that clip on the bottom of the fairing, inside of where the hooks go.  If you need it I can take a picture of mine.  It seems like the bra was an afterthought. but it works pretty well except in high winds.

The one that was on mine when I bought it had no Velcro but PO had two small bungee cords that he had put on the bottom area that hooked around the cable guides around the triple tree. The first thing I did was remove it and give it to a friend.

This is a pic from ebay and it looks exactly like mine - no Velcro.

And I'm not sure that I'll keep mine. I just had a chance to pick one up on the cheap and couldn't resist. We'll see . . .

I belive my bra is factory too, there should be 6 clips. 4 in the middle and 2 attached to straps on the sides. The middle clips attach to the bottom edge of the fairing 1 on either side of the signal light cut out. The side clips attach to the inner slot on the clear deflector. You need pics??

Yep, that is the hook that connects to the slots in the clear plastic part.  I forgot about the Velcro.  It wraps around the turn signal stalks.

Here's a picture of mine. Doesn't show the clips but it's a great photo!

Thanks for the feedback. The Velcro around the turn signals isn't what I'm talking about. I now believe the Velcro on my friends is custom to keep the bottom from moving. I'll try to get a pic of it.

I don't have those deflectors on the bottom of my fairing.  They were removed because of my Baker Airwings.  Haven't had my bra on for several years, but when I did those hooks go into one of those holes along the bottom edge of the fairing.
