Just run down the list of those who make a dam good living with shoot-em-ups and you'll see a litany of anti gunners. Then watch the "Wrecking Crew" and try not realize the big lie. Hint, everything you know is wrong.

They're actors, for Pete's sake. They make a good living pretending to be what they are not. They are good at it! Who believes they have any idea what is wrong or right with the world or life just because we see them on the big screen? They're actors!

I have reconciled myself to the fact that in order to function in this world, I’m going to support people with whom I disagree. I pay Matt Damon to entertain me, nothing more. I don’t take personal, financial, political or medical advice from him or my landscape guy, they are just my employees. Unfortunately, he has a much bigger megaphone than my landscape guy and when he makes a statement it is heard by many. I try to make more donations to causes I support that will counter (hopefully) what I put in their pockets. I really like Mat Damon and really hate his politics. When they come to take my guns I hope Matt is leading the charge to my front door. How cool will that be that my descendants can say “My Grandpa put Jason Bournes pecker in the dirt”? What I will not do is watch anything with Jane Fonda in it.

Actors, or entertainers, or overpaid court jesters, they rarely have an opinion worth considering.
They, a product of their industry (Hollywood, entertainment, news, media, newspapers), are merely socialized by everyone and everything around them. Education K-12, universities, judges appointed from universities work exactly the same way. Pipelines to the absurd.
That they can be great action hero's with guns and knives blazing, leaving a trail of dead and maimed by the end of the picture (always for good against evil), and then use their millions to preach against exactly what made their fortunes is of course hypocrisy. If you hate guns so much, how can you in good conscience make a damn good living from (and glorify) them? Claiming they are toys and it's all make believe is lame, it is of course as realistic as they can possibly make it.
(the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.)

I happen to like most of Matt Damon's movies. Good scripts, good action movies with good special effects and acting. But, I don't give a darn about his political positions. His vote is no better than mine or yours. But, I get to decide what I'm going to spend my money on, he can only entice me to spend it on his movies. Will I see more Damon movies, probably. Will I pay to see them in a theatre, not likely. What I don't understand is why anyone would care what Matt Damon thinks about anything. But apparently, some folks opinions are skewed by what Matt has to say. I guess I missed the asterisk that indicated he knew all and was right on everything. Who'd have thunk it.

I don't understand!!! You guys are always pushing to save our constitutional rights, correct! And when some people don't agree with the same line of issues with everybody's thinking. Suddenly they are evil and should be ban. Its like your saying their rights are protected as long as the think the way you do. Or do I understand it wrong. Guns aren't the problem, people are!

You are correct. He can say anything he wants, it's his right. But it is also our right to boycott him as a result of said comments. To not pay to see his movies. It's happened before. Just ask the Dixie Chicks. Matt Damon has joined Liam Neason,George Clooney, Daniel Craig as well as a few others that I will NEVER pay to see in any movies. You probably say big deal. This is my way to show my dislIke for coments made by these actors. Movies are entertainment plain and simple. I don't need to spend large sums of money to sit in a theater to be entertained. I have the Valk for that. In my opinion celebrities should stay out of politics all together. Most of the time they just alienate half thier fan base.

Well the last time I went to the movies I seen Terms of Endearment, which just came out, lady I was with wanted to see it. I guess the thing that bothers me is rallying others against them, if you have your own personal feeling against them I say cool. But in sighting others against them, I have reservations. Look they are entertainers, in reality they are professional liars! They convince you that they are someone they are not, there is no Dirty Harry or Rambo or Captain Kerk, they have a job to do and they get paid very well to do it. I could care less of their opinions, we all have one. I would be more concerned about how many are in congress or in government, how many products they endorse, telling you that they use, or what cars they drive and you should too. Save the whale and who you should vote for, think about it. That was called subliminal messages or advertising, influencing you on a daily bases, I would be concerned about that, the thing that is reaching yourself, your family and friends. There is no bad publicity in entertainment, Dixie Chicks, well it probably went out of your line of sight, the cash was probably still rolling in. Don't believe what I say, just pay attention to the thing in front of your nose and think about it.
