I've been around here for over 10 years and don't recall a bad word about them. However, they haven't seemed as popular as MarkT's [HorseApple Ranch], Viking [no longer available], Cobra, TBR's or Jardine's.

You can do a search at the Old Tech Archives next to Shop Talk above.

I had a set several years ago before I got the Viking's. They are simply OEM pipes with modified insides. They have a nice rumble to them and have a insulation insert that can be removed for more sound if you like.

John Schmidt  also has a set on his bike.

Mike,...the guy that builds the Viper systems is a real stand up kind of guy, and his work is without question of the highest caliber.

It is an alternative to Dragonpacks and Mark Ts.

Are Dragon Packs the only system that is a so called slip on exhaust ??  Most everything else requires owner to send in exhaust to be modified.

I've had mine for about five years, still sound good. They gave a modest bump in HP, plus what I really was after....something with better sound than OEM. I eventually picked up a set of silencers from MarkT which didn't take away from performance and still gave them a nice low rumble, I recessed them about 7" from the rear of the stacks so you don't see them unless you really bend down to look. If you really get on it they will still bark pretty good, and without the silencers....they really will talk to you. I usually run them installed, especially on road trips, just easier on the ears. But I can still rooster my head back to either side and listen to them at 3500 rpm, sound real throaty...and powerful.

MomZ is right on target re. Mike, the builder. He's solid folk and does good work, I believe he's a machinist by trade. He's also built up a couple other bikes, the make escapes me just now, but I understand they're real screamers. Another gearhead at heart.
