Ok The left side radiator cover broke at the brackets to cover. I think the cause of it was the main mounting screw under the reflector on the side had backed out. Therfore causing excess amonts of vibration. So next install will be with locktite. Ordered the new left cover from partzilla for 26 bucks. Not to bad. Glad was not right side. they are 86. ???
Anyway what I need to know is how to remove the side reflectors to access screw , without tearing it up. TY

Ty Chris. So just double sided tape. HaHa. Never know. And yes the alan button head screw was all the way backed out. Like I said. Next will be locktite. Will go ahead and do right side too. Tanks again.

A piece of fishing line (used in a sawing motion ) will ensure you won't crack or break the reflector by prying on it with a screwdriver. I have remove a number of them and tank badges like this with zero issues.

Tank badges are a different story, these reflectors are tough and pry off very easy with no damage if you are a little bit careful

Folks may want to put this down for something to do. Blue Loctite. And just pry off with screw driver. Easy peazy. Save you money in the long run.

True! I had a radiator protection and bars connected to the side covers. The screw under the reflector went lose , silly me did not notice, the radiator/bar protection started vibrating and grinded a hole in the radiator and it stated leaking .. This was far down in France when work shops were closed .... But ... Luckily it ended in a nice story that was worth the extra 150 bucks

A client at a shop heard my problem and offered to help, he was living don the street. He suggested Locktite aluminium repair which I bought and went to his place. He patiently grinded and repaired my radiator while we had a chat with his nice family. 3-4 hours later we were back on the road. Most of the time was about waiting for the stuff to dry and harden. And, by the way, his parents were living in India for a period and he bought a Royal Enfield and rode from France to India He was a very nice guy and we had a great time in his garden

" his parents were living in India for a period and he bought a Royal Enfield and rode from France to India "
Now that would be an adventure.
