Noticed a chirp or more like a tree frog/ raccoon sound at 15-25 mph. Only hear it a split second. Any ideas? Only changes recently was a new metzler and pads.

I had a similar chirp, I changed the EBC pads to OEM, replaced wheel bearings and remounted the front wheel using the proper tightening sequence. It was good after that.

Sorry, I know that is terrible troubleshooting, changing more than 1 thing at a time, but you might want to try one of those, probably the tightening sequence first, since it's free. Something might be out of alignment.

Front brakes can chirp, esp if the bike sits a while before a ride.  Stainless steel (rotors) isn't really stainless, more like less stains than carbon steel).

The stains eventually get rubbed off by the pads, but a little steel wool work is quicker.

I've about decided you can spend a significant part of your life analyzing strange sounds made by a Valk.

The good thing about it is, give it a few days & it'll be replaced by a different sound from a different place.

I think I fixed it. It dawned on me that I also put my trigger wheel back on before the tire. Decided to start there and check torque, etc. Tensioner was a tad ft/lb tight. Also noticed the belt had play in it. Tightened it and went around the block. (country block). I didn't hear it or if I did it was very faint. Only thing I heard was my HD horn vibrating under load.  Grin

If you have not desmogged check the vacuum lines as they sometimes split and make like a reed and can sound like a bird chirping Smiley
