Guys, Can't say how much I've enjoyed this scoot. Pretty much everything I could ask for and more. I've come to realize moving this beast around is getting more than I can handle. Nearing my retirement, I could really use something that is a lot lighter. The bike has about 8300 mi, National Cycle Deflector windshield, Mich PR4"s with 80% tread, 12v outlet, aux LED brake lights. Recent oil change w/Honda 10w-30 Syn, final drive oil change, Honda sissy bar and back rest. 1-1/2 yrs remaining on factory warranty. Located in central NC. Would $10,250 be a reasonable asking price?

I think it would be reasonable but I dont think you'll get it. A new Valk is going for pretty much the same price so your price has to be low enough to generate some interest in used rather than new.

Asking price can be negoiatable. Considering $ 700+ in accessories, better tires and still under warranty. Best price I can find locally for a bone stock "new" 2014 is around 12,000. Toss in Tax, tag, title and dealer fees and you looking at another $ 600.

Never forget that a dealer's price is not equal to your price because of various fees they tack on even on used bikes. Always make prospective buyers aware of this if they bring up a slightly lower dealer price.
KBB retail for this bike in excellent condition is $10,495 and you have those extras included.
Look at the 2014s currently for sale on Cycletrader.
3981 miles $10,999 (dealer)
1350 miles $14,700 (private seller)
new $14,299 (dealer)
And on ebay:
2362 miles $12,500 (dealer)
432 miles $12,995 (dealer)
The lowest I could get a dealer to sell for here in Texas was $10,599 + $299 fee of some sort + $125 doc fee, plus TTL.

Hey Buzzard, check out the CTX700 with auto shift trans, no clutch, low to ground, light weight, its a gear 6 speed with auto shift or you shift with paddles on left hand grip. Stop and go just like a car with automatic trans. I had a similar bike the NC700DCT, same motor and trans as CXX700, it is a blast to ride. I'll be heading in that direction again in another year or 2. I'm 66 now with lots of nerve damage which indicates I'm having a fun life.

Got a friend in Memphis selling his for 8600. Custom cobra six shooter pipes, bags, windshield, highway pegs, backrest, new tires and something else I know I'm forgetting. The pupes alone are a big time consuming task. This bike is cherry and has never even been in the rain. Sorry man maybe your low mileage will help sell it.

It is getting ridiculous how low some people are selling theirs. The guy I bought mine from paid $19,000 (I have the paperwork) and sold it one year later for $10,500. You've got 15 YO Valkyrie 1s selling for not much less than some people are asking for the Valkyrie 2!

My thoughts, They ain't gonna go much lower boys, so hang on to them. The price will level off, a well taken care of one, always be worth 9-10 grand. Geeze, the damn things gotta be worth 6 grand in scrape metal!

I'm still riding mine, and haven't officially listed it for sale anywhere. It's a lot of fun whenever it's on the road. If I'm lucky enough to draw some casual interest in the future we'll see what happens.

Sooner or later the dealers will be out of Valkyries to sell, used Valks should be easy to sell at that point.

If they were worth 6$ in scrape , all those 100s and 100s on Craigs would be gone to scrap I think the used price will drop to 7 to 9K All you are paying for is the larger engine size My thoughts, They ain't gonna go much lower boys, so hang on to them. The price will level off, a well taken care of one, always be worth 9-10 grand. Geeze, the damn things gotta be worth 6 grand in scrape metal!

Don't forget about inflation. The value of the dollar is constantly declining and I think the price will stay around $9000 - $1000 for the next 10 years.
