He was coming back from Greenville and was rear ended by a van on the Lavon hwy about 1:30 this afternoon. They  are keeping him overnight, maybe a day or two. He would like you all  to know he broke his ass! Actually fractured his pelvis in two places.  He is hoping the Wing is totalled, but won't know til Tuesday.  Rm 425 at Mckinney Medical Center on 75/121/5.  Very needy, seeking company like a craig's list horn dog on Saturday
night! -Jeff

Sorry someone else will have to post his picture, I don't know how to get it from the email to this board.

He was doing well when we left.  They are keeping his pain down.  Physical therapy will see him tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about the accident.  Being a rear-end accident veteran, I know there is nothing worse than hearing the screech of tires, looking in the mirrors and seeing the cage just before it hits you.  The best thing you can do is to heal up and then get right back in the saddle.

Get better soon.

Dayum Dave!!!!

Glad it wasn't worse than it was, but it was bad enough!  If the Wing is bad enough that it could be totaled, that couldn't have been any small accident.

My prayers are with you buddy!  I know Janet can take very good care of you.
The pic looks like the pain meds are working just fine.

Keep us in the loop on the recorery process.

I'll say a prayer for ya and you ust keep pushing that little button Dave, it will all be alright. You will be back on the road in no time. Pelvic fractures are miserable, nothing to do but lay around and heal. Not sure I can make it up there till tomorrow, someone let us know if he goes home.

It never ceases to amaze me how close people run to my ass end or get when I am slowing for a turn.  Just ignorance and impatience I guess.

If you look at the picture, you will see grass in the vent on the helmet.  What you can't see are the scratches on the top of the helmet.

Rainman, there was no squeeling of tires, no forwarning at all.

They were getting ready to get him up this morning when I was there.  Not sure how that went, I didn't think I wanted to see the pain it was going to cause.

Just got off the phone with Dave and Janet. He really appreciates all your good wishes for a speedy recovery! All the company Sunday really picked up his spirits!

Still don't know if he will go home today. If he is still at the hospital tonight there will be a Cowboy game watching party! I'll let you know what I know when I know it. ~Jeff

Who cares about Dave? Dave Who????

I hope Janet is OK  Wink

Oh, and Dave ... I'll let you take over payments on my '09 Wing ... so I can get started on a new one.

I trust your infirmed status as a Sick Bay Commando will be a short one and in recovery you may actually develope a more generous posterior landing zone.
