Oh man, the worst thing you can do when you're on the fence about something is to lurk in forums dedicsted to that something (which is exactly what I usually do) -- it'll push you right over. That's pretty much what happened to me again this time.  Grin

First ride today, 80 miles from Mass to VT all back roads. WHAT A BEAST !!!!. For big bike it handles surprisingly well .Now I need to start with the mods, Gustafson windshield  and  saddlebags first. Center stand and fog lights to follow. So far I'm very happy with the Valkyrie.[img]

Nice , good job

Why do folks cover up license plate number ?
Is there something I can do with the plate number  to cause problems ??

Google search reveals plenty of sites that offer ways to find out information based on license plate numbers.

Soon enouh, you might find yourself liking those foglights even more! I found someone in my local area with a 1800 Valk and the lights. We are finally going to see if I can get them to work!

Years ago, I was called by the police. Real thieves had duplicated my plate number and used it on their own (?) BMW K1200 R and were arrested during their bank robbery (hostages etc. something serious) leaving their bike somewhere.

Why me, why my BMW though so singular and original ? The policeman replied that beemers have an honorable reputation (aged, wealthy, honest, boring : everything I was not  Grin) and thus are less controlled or suspected than Suzy-Kawa-Yam drivers.  ???
Of course, my plate number has never been seen on the internet though. Maybe should I hide it in a permanent way ?  crazy2

Welcome to the vrcc ....... if you have ridden other bikes near this size you will quickly fell the broad power range, and the super smoothness of this bike is far above the others..... these (dragons) will give you a rush each time you ride...? I know mine does         have fun and ride safe

Too bad the blinker option  don't  work with the Valkyrie

That is what I'm working on. I've already added additional blinkers to my bike, rear and radiator pods. I'll be testing out the setup on a set of Socal lights to see if they work too.

Wow OP, you didn't waste any time.  I've been debating a center stand but I'll bet they're expensive.  Since I would only use it for maintenance, I wonder if a motorcycle jack wouldn't be a better choice for me.
