Just added today.  Memphis Shade Batwing with 8.5" re-curve windshield.  Anxious to try it out, but raining here now.  Comes standard in black.  Bought some Oracal Dark Red Metallic vinyl and wrapped the top part.  Bottom is beige with orange accent stripe to match the bike colors.  The red vinyl is a little less glossy than the bike, but I did not want to paint--something I am terrible at.

Installation is pretty straight forward after taking off the OEM hardware.  It is necessary to replace the bolts holding the headlight bucket as they are part of the lower windshield bracket.  This was easy to do with a couple of 5/16 bolts, washers and nuts.

There is a little adjustment with the standard mounting hardware, but I had seen where someone used 1" all thread couplers as spacers to make the shield more upright and to lessen the space between the fairing and the headlight.  I have a couple of those but will wait to see what kind of coverage I get.

I also bought the lower shields but the turn signals will interfere.  It is possible to lower them a little, but the stabilizing bracket would have to be modified. And the radiator cap is very close at the turn lock already.  I may try and carve out the acrylic to fit around the turn signal.

This is pretty much the same set up Big Poppa Pump has on his yellow Valk.  I liked the way his looked at Inzane.  My windshield is a little taller.  I will post a ride report after I get a change to try it out--hopefully later today.

I could have waited to take photos with a little better background, but it was raining.  This is our bay where we letter/wrap vehicles.

Looks sharp, Greg. Is it just me or does it look like the shield is not flush with the top of the fairing, seems to be popping out an inch out on both the sides.

With regards to the lower shields, I messed around with the front turn signals moving it up and down but could never find a position that appealed to me. I just bought some white card paper from target and traced the outline of the lower shield on it. I used a spare front turn signal housing to trace a quarter circle for the front turn signal cutoffs. I kept making adjustments to it till I got the fitment right. Using the card paper as a template I cut out the acrylic on the lower shields using a dremel, came out just perfect.

Thanks Poppa;

The shield protrudes a little on each side.  I wondered about that.  Do you think that is an error?

I am planning on doing the same as you did for your lowers--have already made a template, but will try the unit as is for now.

I still have to get the chrome trim ring.

I put a batwing on my wife's Sportster.  It's much better than the tombstone that was there before.

It shouldn't protrude at all, period! It should be an exact fit and should be flush on each side. You should definitely return it and get a proper replacement.

Looks good. I had a Memphis shades batwing on my cb750c and the windshield was flush on the ends like BPP's.  There are some options that are intentionally wider to offer more wind protection. Looks like thats what you have

I bought thru Motorcycle Superstore and will contact them about the width.  It was listed as a Memphis Shade Batwing Windshield--I don't remember seeing anything about different widths related to the wings.

I am still getting hit right in the eyes with wind.  If I duck down even and inch it is better.  I will try and adjust for a more upright position.  If that doesn't do it, I can use some spacers between the wing and the bracket, but the inside "cowling" is already up against my headlight.  Not visible in the photos, but there is a formed lucite piece that blocks wind and looks like it forms around the curvature of the headlight assembly.

Since I apparently have the wrong screen anyway, maybe there is one a little taller.  I can see over the top of this one just fine.

If you need taller recurve shields.

I have a 12" screen on mine and the wind hits me square in the face and like you, if I duck a few inches it is much better.  I've tried to adjust and cannot make it better, I may spring for one of the 14" re-curves and see if that helps...

Motorcylce Superstore says the windshield I have is for a Harley Batwing.  I am returning and have ordered a standard 12" shield, not the spoiler shield.  If this doesn't do what I want, I will send it back.  Just have to pay return shipping to Louisville--about $7.00.

Returned the extra wide spoiler shield and replaced with 12" standard.  Seems to be better height as I am not getting hit in the eyeballs with turbulence.  Also got the chrome trim ring.

That looks sharp, and your two-tone layout is very well designed. cooldude
