I now have 20143 miles on this Shinko. I KNOW some of y'all will NEVER mount one of these on your machine-this is for the folks that might.  Have not had ONE issue with this tire. Driving rain blistering heat or 17 degree air temps-this tire has PERFORMED and continues to PERFORM. I have much MORE confidence in the Shinko's I've run than the E-3s that it came with. While the 140-80-17 I run is 6/10ths of an inch less in diameter than the stock 150-80-17 called for the size difference-for me anywho-is NOT an issue. Sides-I like the look of the White Wall on my Green and Silver I/S. The E-3s would start sliding on dry pavement leaned over in a curve and/or scare the chit outa me in the rain. I have NONE of that with the Shinko. Rain-dry road good lean angles-bring it! I'll probably put a new one on before I-17-BUT I do not believe a new one will be "needed". In lieu of beads I went with B Bs as my balancing agent-good inexpensive alternative and extra added bonus-B Bs don't pug the valve stems.  cooldude    As an F Y I-I know the B Bs are still loose in the tire as I back down my driveway I can hear them.  coolsmiley IF you do bash the Shinko's-please KNOW it falls on deaf ears!  2funny RIDE SAFE.

I had a set of Stinko 230 Tourmasters on my Electraglide and they were great.  The rear tire wore out fast but, it stuck to the road good and rode smooth and quiet.  No complaints from me.  Better than the Dunlops that they replaced.

The shinko 890 journey in the oem size for the valk is the only shinko ive had a problem with.  Ive run other shinkos on other bike and been happy.  The 230 tourmaster is a great tire for the $$$ but not available in valk sizing. I'm running one on the rear of my cb750c currently. Ive had 2 front and one rear 890 journey tires on valks and was unhappy with mileage and performance.
