Just started this issue on my Interstate, my Rt. turn signals work fine, the left side when activated do not come on but all the lights on the trunk and license plate light flash (they are not suppose to).At first it kept blowing  the fuse but now it doesn't, could this be the turn signal switch ,is there any way to check the switch ? I have checked everything I could think of.
   Thanks, Skip

Sounds as if you have a wiring issue.
Wrong connection or some bare wires cross connecting.
Trace the wire to confirm connections and watch for worn insulation on wires.

You have running/brake lights that somehow are Cross connected to the left turn signal.
The fact that it stopped blowing fuses is not a good sign. It blew fuses because the electricial load was to high and now it is not, so look for insulation issues and burn/soot marks on wires/connectons/switch contacts.

The first thing to check would be the connector under the rear fender.  There have a few posts similar to yours lately
