Hi Went on a ride put on by the local "HOG" group.Don't know if it was the unsure weather or why but only afew made it out. They made this ride an open event so I went. There were as many "Metric" bikes as HOGS. A good mix of bikes and people. In a sea of "Twinkies" as I call them, one machine stood out. Mine

These were some very nice people to meet up with and to ride with as well. Felt very comfortable in the group.Got a ton of compliments on my 11 year old Valk.We went on roads I had never been on. My memory hurt trying to remember all the places so I could do them again. We did stop off at the Cheltenham Badlands.Always wanted to see that place.

One of my favourite spots is a short ride at the Forks of the Credit .A short but for Ontario a great piece of road.

An all day ride but what a great way to spend the last Sunday in Sept.

Looked like a good ride.  I rode about 180 miles one way with a HD buddy of mine. I rode up to say hi to my son in college on parent's day.  I had just switched cell phone companies and gave him his new one.  The day started out as low hanging clouds and about 100 miles into the ride, the sky opened and became partly cloudy the rest of the day.  The temp got up to 90 deg F on the way home, got sun burnt..  Smiley

My version of a good day....   380 miles and no rain.

Nice pics, as always, Adrian, and it's not just the bike that stands out from the twinkies... I spent the day in the garage changing to my wider windshield for winter, & putting the wind deflectors on the forks. The first time I mounted them several years ago, I didn't realize the dragon fork covers would hammer the mounting brackets when the forks compressed, so I took them off & straightened out the dragon's pointy little head things as best I could. When I mounted them today, I made sure that there  was plenty of clearance, and everything was great until I turned the handlebars, & the wind deflectors were hitting the fog light pods on both side. SO I moved them as much as possible, and finally used a grinder to get the plexiglass down to where it's not hitting the pods any more. Guess I'll find out tomorrow if they do any wind blocking, or find out that I just spent another day discovering what doesn't work. Al least the weather is good for tomorrow. My best to you & Suzanne, see you in the spring or summer!
